Frequently Asked Questions
FAQs
Do you take flowers that are already dried?
The focus of Grace & Glory Preservation is creating art that captures flowers from their fullest state. Our drying process allows flowers to naturally keep their shape, color, and texture as much as possible. At this point we are only accepting live florals for this reason.
Are there any flowers that cannot be preserved?
Flowers with high moisture content such as berries, succulents, tropical flowers, and sedums do not dry well and would not appear in your piece.
What changes may occur to my flowers?
Each flower dries differently depending on temperature they were stored at, moisture content, and other factors. Changes can include, but are not limited to, red, pink and purple flowers becoming darker, White flowers turning golden or browning, translucent spots appearing, etc.
Will my flowers look exactly as they did on my occasion?
The short answer - no. While we try to maintain the integrity of your flowers changes ill naturally occur. Bruising/browning may happen at your event, during transportation, or during preservation. We disassemble the bouquet/piece in order to clean/dry each flower stalk individually and arrange them accordingly.
Do you dye your flowers or resin?
At this time we do not offer color correction for the flowers themselves, we allow the drying process to capture their natural color as it ages!
Once I receive my preserved flower piece how do I care for it?
The biggest tip we can give is to keep your pieces away from direct sunlight/heat as it accelerates the fading of the flowers / discoloration of the resin. While we do utilize high quality UV resin, over time discoloration is inevitable. The products are not dishwasher safe but can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
